Hey All. I'm in the process of replacing my wheel studs but before I could get there I found a broken roller cage in the locking hub assembly. Hours of trying to find a replacement part has yielded nothing. Anyone know where I can get this part? It's from the front hub of a stock 1977 cj5. Thanks!

Used most likely. Put an ad in the classifieds.

Welcome from Michigan, Something looks different on your Lock O Matic hubs that the ones on my Jeep. I bought two sets of Hubs from a Friend, both NOS. I had the Lock O Matic hubs on my stock 78 Scout, and liked them, so I put the ones I got from my Buddy on my Jeep. They look different than yours, in as much as my outside flanges are a lot thicker than the ones in the pi[IMG]cture. My Jeep is up at our Cabin so I can't pos[IMG]t a picture for you. I have Ansen wheels like yours too, 7"x15".

Your hubs are aftermarket Warn Lock-o-Matics that were often dealer installed. I'm guessing a 27 spline from your application? I haven't seen a cage broken like yours, but there are used parts out there. The cage should be the same from an earlier 10 spline hub. Also, International/Scout commonly used these hubs, so they are another source for parts.
Keep in mind, only Lock-o-Matic hubs are what your looking for parts from. Put a WTB in the classified section on this forum.

Thanks for the advice. I'll see if I can find one in the classified section. If I can't easily find a replacement, should I just replace these locking hubs with something newer? Any recommendations?

Lock-o-Matics and parts often come up on eBay. These hubs are my personal favorites and I think they are the best lockout made. Lots of Bubbas over the years didn't understand them, and butchered them into a regular manual hubs.

My thoughts also. The best bet is just to buy another set of used hubs and put the best of both into the rebuild. I ended up going through 3 pairs to build these:

I will admit part of that process was appearance driven trying to find the aluminum housings that weren't all beat to hell. Hence the 27 spline Scout II version.
