Honestly Dennis I think you're way overthinking this based on information that can't be taken as a given- relation of tire pressure to tire circumference, effect of loading on tire circumference, effect of speed on tire circumference, effect of tire rubber elasticity as the tire ages affecting the previous, tire tread wear etc. etc.

That & the fact that mechanical speedos can be out by a few % anyhow right from the factory (& that was many decades ago) makes it look like you're going for 0.xxx precision from a system that that that has a best case of X.x variability. That's the problem with modern methods- too many decimal places to look at. :(

Ditch the calculator & run your models with a slip stick, you'll sleep much better at night. :D

You guys are really getting into this! Makes me excited to get back to the states and drive my Jeep again. I'm going with a GPS speedometer simply because my Jeep's not very original anyway and I enjoy not having to worry about this kind of stuff. Honestly I never even looked at the speedometer when it did work, I have a tachometer on the steering column that was a lot easier to look at so I just became familiar with my speeds based on RPM.

You’re right, too much calculation/over thinking.

Better to spend the time in garage finishing this project! (y)
