Jpflat - I think I have my situation figured out but would still like some pics if it’s not too much trouble. Mine are heavy duty too. Are your cams pot metal or plastic?

Here are some photos of a pair of Selectro HD locking hubs I disassembled and was cleaning. I found that the knobs were attached with stainless slotted head shouldered screws (6). All main parts of these hubs are machined steel and heavy, with the exception of the two pot metal/aluminum pieces shown.

Here's close-ups of the two pot metal/aluminum ramps...with no "nubs" visible.

Here's some photos of a Dualmatic hub I had in a box with other stuff. I found the out knob was attached with phillips head shouldered screws (3) and tamper proof allen head shouldered screws (3). All main parts of this locking hub are pot metal/aluminum with the exception of the 10 spline axle gear.

Upon closer inspection of the components, we find this: "nubs"

Side by side comparison: Dualmatic "nubs" on the left: Selectro HD on the right:

Here's a shot of the Dualmatic cast body flange: Note the lock and free postions cast into the body:

Number cast into body flange of the Dualmatic locking hub with the ramp body with "nubs":

Finally, just a comparison of the two body mounting flanges,
Dualmatic (cast) on the left: Selectro HD (steel) on the right.

There are some slight differences in components from visual inspection. Can parts/pieces interchange between the two hubs, I don't know that answer.

Hope this helps, maybe muddies the issue more. Form your own conclusions.

Here is my dumb question of the day. In looking at these pictures it appears that Selectro and Dualmatic are made by the same folks. Is that correct?

I cleaned my Dualmatics while off but didn't disassemble them that far because they work with no issues. They do feel like they click in and out FWIW.

Thank you jpflat - great pics. Much appreciated.

Yes, from what I’ve read, at some point the Selectro and Dualamatic brands were manufactured by the same company for different vendors (Sears, etc) and many of the parts interchange. I believe that Mile Marker is the name of the company now.

That's what I always thought, branding them for other companies as well.
