The enamel hardener kills most if not all of the flexibility properties of the oil based enamel. Just put a good coat on and let it dry for a couple days.

I have always disliked the way the baja offroad lights attach. the housing is thin and flimsy hard to aim. So I redesigned the mount :bananatool:

I should also say I washed the garage door mat as my wife requested....taking the willys was just a bonus....
Much of the engine and drivetrain got a good degreasing, so it was pretty darn spotless. I took the slightly long, roundabout way home that included a short freeway jaunt....parked it in the garage on the clean floor (was garage cleaning day) and seeing how much it drips. A few drips already, but its not pouring out. The rear of the driver side valve cover is seeping quite a bit, and the driver front corner of the intake manifold is also seeping - hard to tell whats happening down the back side....No way probably to do it 'right' without pulling the engine to create some space, but maybe this will do for now....we'll see.

half yes, half no....I'll post up in the wagon thread....today was the test of driving it around after the most recent valve cover redo - can drive it without leaking a quart of oil in 50 miles, but its still too much for wanting to drive it anywhere other than around town locally....so it still overheats until I can figure out a better shroud or electric fan/shroud and it still leaks too much oil for significant usage. You guys will be disappointed, but I did post it for sale today (its all nice and clean and driveable) and the throttle linkage helps as well as its pulling more vacuum at idle, so I was able to turn down the idle screw, and readjusted the idle mix (and set it up just a bit rich to see if that helps cool), so I think the intake manifold is sealed much better. We'll see...

Got a new set of shoes for my CJ5. 35x12.50R15 BFG KM3 mud terrains, my 12 year old MTR’s were finally worn out and the sidewalls delaminating. While I was at it I ordered a new set of wheels, 15x8 steel with 2.5” backspacing, for a wider track width so the 35’s will not rub as badly.

    Old Tires/Wheels
    New

I’m planning on hitting the trail tomorrow, can’t wait to test out these new tires.

Been gone from here for a while to restore a 67 mustang, I am trapped at home like most so I decided to give the Jeep a facelift. Stripped it all the way back down to the rolling chassis and cleaned everything up and painted it. I know the trim line on the mustang door is a little off (looks worse in the picture). It was so nice working on the jeep with no doors to mess with.

    Burgundy from The Coating Store
Burgundy Basecoat Clearcoat Car Paint Kit Item #: SGCW121-BCCKIT

    Price: $274.99

I thought it was a little dark but once I put everything on it looks nice. I was happy with the way it sprayed and color sanded, The ford color for the Mustang was almost $700 so I was more than happy with how the Jeep came out.
