    Green. Self cancelling, perhaps sometimes.

There is a little rubber wheel that drives the cancel. I have rotated the tire and scuffed it up. It can also be adjusted a little tighter (I think that's what I did.)

Would everything be interchangeable between the two switches?Meaning if I had a good blue lens switch would the housing of a green lens switch be interchangeable?

Mine is a weird blueish color, I’m sure a result of sun fade over the years. Housing are probably interchangeable.

Or you can do what an old audio technician taught me.

When you have old tape decks, there's a rubber pinch roller that presses against the polished capstan to move the tape along at a constant speed. After a while, you need to clean the deck from oxide (that messes up the sound), and when you do, you use a rubber cleaner/revitalizer to get the gook off. Plus it has the added feature of revitalizing the rubber, provided it isn't too far gone.

I have a bottle of "408A Rubber Renue" by MG Chemicals. Amazon special, I believe. It works well for me, as well as my Sparton turn signal wheel thingie.

Those little rectangular lenses are melted into the housing. Removing them would require a delicate procedure not to break! But if you do successfully remove it undamaged, then some crazy glue or equivalent to reattach to the new housing.
My Sparton on my 1966 is green. Self cancel works well.

I have several Spartan signals, including my original one for my '64. All have green lenses. Many years ago I had a '56 with a blue lens and thats the only blue lens I have seen.

I have restored several spartan and still have both blue and green in my hold box. There are several ways to fix/improve the wheel issue. Don't know anything about what years they are from. Some even had plastic friction plates

I want to keep this one as a solid spare. I have all parts for another one except the wheel. I also have a top cover side with a black lens. I'll buy the next one I find for parts and restore it then will sell one.
