Went to pickup some near mint original tailgate chains. Came back with the chains, a set of fenders, a hood, driveshaft, headlight rings, a dash, and this super clean Spartan.

As I was leaving, I spied this guy. Heavy as hell with some rot on the inner half.

I'd say a good day off.

Who doesn't? I'm looking at all the junk adds on FB and CL for the windshields only.

We need to all band together to either fabricate something ourselves, or get a company to replicate the hardware for the ventilating windshield. I don't need an exact copy, just something quality and functional!

I've never seen one in person to know if it's easily replicated. I do know you can still get the hinges from deuce and a half trucks, etc.

Thanks! Haven't much luck hunting for parts in a few years. Feels like it's been raining parts the past couple weeks.

So true. Maybe folks are cleaning out the garage while at home. I picked up a tail gate, sport bar and two CJ2A fenders pretty cheap.

Nice find on the spartan turn signal.

After it stopped raining and dried up some I removed the d30 from the cj5, cut out the toolbox, fuel filler, and some of the floor on the 3b. I actually tried to do it the right way by drilling out spot welds but after 10 or so the bit was very dull and I had to use alternate method death wheel. Cut some spring eyes off a spring pack, I’ll need to find a bushing to go in there.

Took the kids fishing again in Farm Jeep Willy, I got to smile at the working gauges and the idiot lights that actually came on with the key. I still check the gas with a stick to see how accurate the gauge is, but it seems pretty good so I may forego the stick.

Waiting for parts from rockauto, quadratech and wholesalebolts. Found the ball for the clutch throwout arm. AT least I don't have to order that.

Got NOS parts for my '472A. Also made a large piano dolly which will be used to wheel the 2A tub around safely. The new parts are on the dolly.

Picked up a 9 1/4" clutch assembly, T-90C parts, and D-18 X-fer case gasket and seals. I'm getting closer to reassembling!!!

Got rebuilt T15/D20 assembly back in place. New windshield cowl gasket will hopefully eliminate the annoying unlatching-latch issue. Lights are all working, even my new front brake lights (separate thread on that). Ran it on jacks stands to verify everything worked, then got it down off the jack stands and on its new BFGs for the first time in 6 weeks. Took the family for a spin around the block. It was great to drive it again! New wiper motor on order, and the dimmer switch is coming in Saturday. Should be all ready to head back out to the ranch next weekend. I’ll miss working on it every evening.

I started upgrading my M100 trailer today. Discovered rancho sent me the wrong springs so I'm just working on the brakes. M100 Brakes 2.jpg M100 Brakes.jpg M100 Brakes 3.jpg
