What are the odds~ I painted my brothers F-134 that color! I Love that Detroit green, for me it all started when I painted my Champion air compressor that color; fell in love with it! I'll check both the colors out, and can always change it, at least on test samples~ I'd hate to paint the whole shebang and realize I don't like it:oops: When the engine came back from the machine shop, they painted it black~ I also wanted a color where I could track leaks:beer:, so therefore~ Detroit green;)

You seem to be on the same wavelength as me, I was pondering ordering that same can for my dauntless. I actually like the detroit green a lot, especially with the white that I'm planning on painting the jeep. I'm still not convinced that the axles and more visible components will look good painted anything but black, however.

This is not a good example~ but my jeep will be more of a show jeep, as long as I own it, it will be a "show" jeep, but not like the one pictured. That one is showing a red drive train. I think the Buick color will definitely be more subtle, but everything is black as far as frames go. I'm just wanting to do something different I suppose;)
I've got some parts laid out(driveshafts, front hubs, rear hubs, etc) to spray with the Buick color~ I'll post them this evening;) If I don't like it, I'll know pretty quickly! Like trying on a pair of heels~ I either like or don't!:D

I wasn't full of steam today, but I got accomplished what I wanted;) I like the color and I'm going to do what I said regarding painting the entire drive train this color;):D

This is my 3m spray gun with the small cup, it was under Harvey's flood waters along with many of my other tools, looks horrible, but still does the job! It's not the best spray gun, but it is so easy to clean and versatile.

I only painted one valve cover, the other one has a little cut in it that I still need to jb weld.

Looks like something off of the X-files:shock:

I think I'll just spend the rest of the day cleaning up, looking online for stuff that I want:D

    From Brennan Metcalf:
"I think the best replacement stud i have found is the dorman 610-260. It is 1.813 long vs the factory 1.375. The shoulder is a little shorter. You may have to run open ended lug nuts depending on your wheels.

You will still need to make sure the rotor clears the studs and shoulder. The lug holes may have to be chamfered on the back or drilled to match the shoulder. You want the best fit possible to prevent excessive radial runout on the rotor. "

    Me below::crazy:
I"ll more than likely be running these type wheels(my brothers jeep tires)(came with the jeep) and these tires. That being said the length of the lug bolts mentioned above might be a little long, but if I run some tire spacers, I guess the length could be OK? Not sure what color the wheels will be:watch:yet:whistle:

    looks good
longer studs are better than to short. IF to long, after disc brakes, no wheel clearance issues, simply figure how much to long and cut them shorter with your cutting wheel. easy peasy.

Got this really quickly! We are so spoiled~ anyway, neat looking thing!

Installed the springs from Kaiser~ I know some of you may be disappointed that I didn't go with the 2.5 lift, but I'm happy and I think these will be Ok. As much as I'll be driving it, will be fine;) Still waiting for another box full of stuff to complete the springs.
They're not tightly bolted, just hanging for now; just wanted to see them on the frame;)

I bought this from Kayakgreen today~ should look really nice on my "new" engine some day;)

What lift did you end up with? Did you get the greasable shackle and pivot bolts? Polly or rubber bushings?

Me curious. All is looking good.

Silly! lol That's a V6 or V8??? Wow! OH, the springs are just plain stock from KaiserWillys~ nothing special other than being new. Stock bushings, but it came as a kit with everything including shocks/u-bolts/hardware for a good price. I think it will be Ok;) Thank you for all your help!:D Got a long way to go:bananatool:

I have a stupid question. But being a Texan you probably have come to expect stupid questions from Okies, so here goes.

How do you pronounce your name? Is it like da-nee? Or is it an abbreviation for Diane? Help us out here.

 I've been using my middle name forever! My name is Jeri Denee' Weir. However, people upon the first time to pronounce Denee' comes out like; dinny, or like you said, da-nee or da-knee, which in actuality is pronounced Duh-nay. I have since written my name for social interaction as dne' which people seem to get right most the time:bananatool:Thank you for asking:)

Compared to my brothers F-134~ I'm amazed how tiny the V6 is "tiny", I consider it be kind of cute:confused:! Not to mention what a PITA it was to move the 134 around.

When I first got it attached to an engine stand, I was fearful that the stand may not hold it up and most the time kept a 2x4 as an extra prop!

Adorable, and I still hate moving the flywheel from one location to the next.
