Got some more prep work done.
Last couple of trips the Jeep keeps getting warmer than I like, usually happens between Albuquerque and Flagstaff, so I added additional cooling ability ..................... No, I didn't copy Matts offroad recovery.
    Honest!

Anyway I also put an electric lift jack on the trailer.

Did you cut those out of Corvair like Matt did?

Nah, didn't have access to those, but I did have access to hot rod louver panels. Seems to look OK, We'll see how it works this trip.

I am a new member here so hello and this is my first post.
I just took the jeep out of the garage and let it run a little bit before continuing the project.
It was my grandfathers project that he allowed me to finish up.
I'll post two video links of it running, the first one is at high idle cold start and the second one is after it warmed up a little. Maybe let me know what you think ? I'm not very familiar with carbureted motors but it seems to run well... the motor was rebuilt with around 20-30 minutes of run time on it currently.
    video one : cold start

    video two : At idle

Imo, that Idle is way to high. It is running very smooth . Perhaps taking it to a mechanic that can do minor carb adjustment's would help. BTW, Very nice Jeep.

In anticipation of the August Colorado trip I have been wanting a way to carry a Jerry can similar to the way I used to. I came up with a way add a bolt on bracket to my homemade tire carrier. I want be able to remove it when not needed, so it is all bolt-on. The new can came from Harbor Freight, the basket from Amazon. Such is modern life.

Here it is just clamped together to check fit

Here it is just about done.

Here it is complete. It is primarily made of 1.5" x1/4" mild steel bar.

Here is the mount I had in the old days.

Ordered some heim joints for my clutch linkage. Jeep has been sitting since last year when I snapped the clutch control rod.

I also looked at it. The seats I have don't fit my frames. I will have to adapt them.

I finally broke down and mounted up my brand new "old school" Bf Goodrich 33's. They weren't getting any newer sitting on the shop floor.

I threw my flares back on. Is there any better product out there than armor all? 4 coats of it brought out decent color but I feel like it could be better

I figured to stay away from that because I heard that it’ll make the flares all weird

I put the summer meats back on. I’ve got to put it to work dragging dead trees around.

I thought we'd see more post's here, of all the thing's you guy's have done to your Jeep's since having been told to work from home ?

Here's what I finally got installed today. Had Brackets & chains from Walck's sitting; on my bench for about a year !
Next , I'm installing some Teak on the inside of the Tailgate.
    New Chains & Brackets.jpg
And ........Since I changed out both Differential's , I can proudly show that decal now.
