$1100 for a brand new, narrow D44 is a really good price. Having to regear it takes some of the fun out of it but still a good deal.

I love seeing these catch on as an early Jeep option. I never thought I would see a narrow track D44 new for $1100 in my lifetime!

While the stock 3.73 gears can be a bummer for some, they are pretty easy to re-gear. The Roxor carrier uses a unique carrier offset, but it is possible to use any 4-series gears with a ring gear spacer like this.

    Roxor Ring Gear Spacer

If you would like to add a locker at the same time you can use any 19 spline 4-series D44 carrier for 4.10-5.89 gears with the stock axles. There are some 30 spline axle choices coming out now also.....but you are limited to the 10-spline front outers at this point as far as I know.

OtR has some RCV 30 spline front shafts too.

This will be all the more important as narrow track 30s get more scarce

Is there a ring gear spacer required for the front as well?

    Yes

Keep in mind the compatibility of the other pieces though. The spacer linked above fit in the the same spot as the stock carrier and ring when equipped with a common D44 above-carrier-break carrier and ring. The spider splines and diameter and whatnot still need to be taken into consideration when building an axle assembly.

I guess the 2020 Roxor is going to have 5.38 gears now. Complete minus calipers

Might have to do with deterring people from trying to use then on the road.

if only they are 30 spline that would be cool
I have considered buyin both for brand new axles n brakes

I’m not certain the gear change has much to do with road use. I’m betting just the opposite. Some high profile reviews praised the vehicle with a caviet that it needed lower axle gears.

For my use to date, stock gearing is perfect.
