    Aftermarket fender saga update:
If you recall I ordered new front fenders from Qudratech. The first pair arrived and they were of poor quality and dented which may have been cause by UPS since the boxes were in horrible condition. Those were sent back and Qudratech sent two replacements. The replacements arrived and were in the same poor and dented condition. I sent the replacements back and gave up on Qudratech. I called Discount Body Parts online and talked with customer service who assured me that their CJ fenders came from a different manufacturer than the Qudratech fenders because of different manufacturer parts numbers. I ordered a pair and they arrived today. These arrived by FedEx Freight and the boxes were in pristine condition. Opening the boxes I saw these fenders were from the same Taiwan manufacturer as the Qudratech fenders, same wrapping and markings. These fenders however were in pretty good shape! One fender needs a little bondo and the other fender looks almost perfect.
So, it was a process but I should have a new pair of decent fenders on the CJ.

Sometime ago another forum member said all CJ fenders are made by one manufacturer MD Juan in Taiwan, I think he was correct.

This is how the boxes arrived from UPS.

Got the ox locker installed. .007" backlash, .012 differential bearing preload. Tooth contact pattern looks the same as before I took it apart.
By the way I bought the housing spreader off of ebay for $96. I got it as per the OX locker install instructions that it was the only way to the correct preload. I tell you what it made it a breeze to work on this rather than fight the differential in and out during setup. It turned out to be money well spent.

Finocj's mini-build thread was extremely helpful with this, so thank you James!
Next up is to get the axle housing back in the jeep, then get the full float axle conversion from Herm installed.

Nice progress at the body shop!
The infamous MD Juan fender are fitted and will require some trimming on the inner fender for shock absorber clearance. I’m pleased with the their work and pace so far. They might have color on by weeks end.

Looked at this 66. F134 with T98 :sneak: No idea what I'd do with it if I got it. Maybe throw on some 33's and do some trail runs with the local "jeep" club.

That’s a PTO winch? Folks like them. I’ll bet lots of good parts. I could use a passenger fender.

Thanks Richie, I appreciate the compliment! My jeep has it's share of problems, your intermediate came from the factory with many of the upgrades I've been doing.
I will keep your offer on the spreader in mind. Right now I want to make sure my rear axle is going to work right, then I may be doing some work on the front axle early next year.

Had the fuel tank out of my '56 and I added a valve to the drain, replacing the pipe plug.

No more need to get soaked in gas each time I want to drain some water or sediment. Convenient to tap some gasoline from if I ever need to. (It is well shielded from trail obstacles.)

Been long overdue. Made a 2g carb spacer to fit under the oil bath. Solid piece of 3” round 6061. Works well and keeps the choke cable from rubbing on the air cleaner.

Wish I could carve stuff out of aluminum. Nice work.

I added an LED strip to the under side of my roll bar for an interior light. Nice and bright in there now.

I added a blackout driving light to Ted. Absolutely love it for night time trail driving. Doesn't affect night vision and I can see much deeper in the woods than with the headlights. I still have to wire up the marker lights.

Influencing the granddaughter. She loves the Jeep and loves to go offroading. We changed out the water pump.

OX locker is in, the full float conversion is done. Just need to bleed the brakes, fill the differential with lube. Then sweat out the test drive.
