Starting to get really deep, definitely past the point of no return. I didn't want to have to pull the whole body off, but I'm not sure I can avoid it. No room for a rotisserie. Might try to build a jig to hold it all in place as sheet metal is replaced.

Thanks, I have some square tubing that I'm going to use for bracing when I get it pretty straight. Metal work is not popular in my area, local Menards only had two 72" and one 36" tubes. Hoping they get more in stock.

Finally tore in to the dash. Lots of extra holes to patch and redo. Previous owners painted around the id label several times. Can these be sourced as "new? I'd really like to tear it off and paint the entire dashg. Is it really needed? The metal plate on the firewall in the engine bay is still there.

Someone here is remaking them, we'll have to search some threads.

I'm probably one of the most technologically challenged people on the forum. I cant remember who posted (Danefranz?) to reduce picture size from a cell phone first send picture to your text, then save, then upload saved pic to ECJ5. Nice build, great year for starting.

Welded in a new spot for gauges. Old mess gone. My first shot at welding sheet panel. I guess Dr. Frankenstein would be proud.

So there's this guy on Youtube (name left out on purpose, might be metalshaper, I don't know, just a guess) who is bashing Classic Enterprises parts. I see nothing on these forums that would support that opinion. Am I wrong? I got these lower rocker panels from Classic and they will fit perfect.

All the classic parts I’ve seen were decent. As with any old rig some fitting will be needed. The factory had 1/2 inch + or - tolerance so a factory nos part may need work to fit correctly.

Mine looked just like your! These Jeep body’s really can get out of square and get warped with no floors to keep em solidfied. You ll need some bracing. Try out the Jeep girdle... patten pending

Duties and Canadian exchange it wasn’t feasible to get Classic e parts up here. If I was state side this would be the only way to build a Jeep. A domestic product and well made... win win! From a production stand point I would guess some of CE panels are tweaked from original standards somewhat... and that’s why accurate restores such as Metal shaper might have a problem with these repops. Still better then mdjaun garbage

That sucks about bent floor.. for such amount of cash you would think they be more careful. For me to get that front floor to my Canadian door would of been a $1000cnd uhh.. so built my own. I only bought rear md Juan floor cause I was too lazy to sort out my bead roller and turn a die etc I would of been better off, a 3x3 chuck of 18 gauge is like 50$ cnd

I blame Quadratec, some numb skull bent it to fit in the box. It was cheap with free shipping, so I put that in my review on their web site and called it a day.

To your American door, what was total cost for front floor? They had some promo on my rear floor it cost something like $420 cnd, still though tooo much for the quality and what it is. Must be the cost of that exotic blocking wood they fill the channels with . huh
