    Ain't that da truth

    Search Results | Aircraft Spruce

If I could find suitable swing arms I'd fab something up with tinted plexi.

Find Kaiser Jeep sun visor kit #816793 group 31-03c. Very rare in original package. motorcycle in Kingston, New Hampshire, United States

"This is an original sun visor that has been sitting in original package for years. I am not going to open unless needed to for a seller. I researched online and found none are left like this that I have seen and could be the last original one left that we will see. Has original mounting arm and hardware in the package still in wax wrap. You have to research deep to find it in any parts web site. I'm not 100% yet but I think its for around late 1950's cj5 and cj6 originally but I think could be universal for a range of years. Research the number and you will see. Thanks for looking."

How about vintage truck parts, like Mack for example?

I have another email in to Ram Mounts support and asked if someone there could look at the photo and come up with the parts needed to sort of replicate what's there. If they will do that we might have something to go on.

I looked that part number up and there are very few hits. A couple of them show the kind of visor you always see for sale (the ones that have 2 mounting arms and don't swivel). It might be that swivel type like I have but I'm not sure.

I've looked at that too. Not too much luck yet but I'll keep an eye out.

The description mentioned a swivel arm, drop him a line & ask- at worst it will cost you a swivel arm & a swivel leg to buy it :twist:

Didn't see anything about "swivel," though he does say "arm" (singular). I did send an email so hoping I can get more info.

Did something this morning I should have done some time ago. I took that old swivel style visor and tried it in the CJ5. It worked great in the M715 where there was a lot of extra room, but the top mounted wipers are an issue in the CJ5. It would work, but the wipers interfere with the arm so it would be a kind of sketchy implementation. For now I think what I have in there will have to do.
