This part right here makes me not want to do this mod again. I would definitely do the D30 and front disks again though. Even with ho-hum stock rears the difference in confidence is huge.

Sucks about the timing but congrats on the build. Looks good. I dig your attention to detail.

So while I love the idea of disc brakes for 2-300 dollars, I happen to have a fairly new set of 15 inch tires on my 61 (about the only decent part on it) A new set of tires blows the budget. Has anyone found 15 inch wheels that fit over these brakes? I have an old 69 f150 with 15 inch wheels and the bolt pattern I think is right, maybe they would fit?

I haven't had any rim issues, I've put on stock steelies and "modern" aluminum wheels. They should fit

I had to grind on the calipers to make my stock 15" wheels fit. These are the later welded 15x5.25 wheels. You don't have to grind a lot though, it is not a big deal.

I have 15" in which on mine. I had to put 1/2" spacers on and then barely shaved a little off of the caliper. They were spinning but their was slight clicking sound where one of the wheel welds was catching.
