Can I sandblast my take-out T90 parts to remove surface rust and dirt? Would that affect the surface hardening? It is easier and faster than using the wire wheel but I want to hear opinions/experiences.
    Thanks!

I wouldn't recommend sandblasting any wear or mating surface (gear teeth, cluster pins, etc.). It will create a rough surface that will wear faster and shed metal into the oil. If it was really bad, lightly glass beading may be less harmful, but you would also want to clean everything very well as any blasting media in the oil is not gonna be good. A thorough parts washing and scrubbing followed by wire wheeling is your best bet.

Thanks! I wasn't sure sandblasting was a good idea but, what do I know?

wire brush or soft wire wheel on a drill. Phosphoric acid will take off some rust but don't let it soak for very long. makes soap of some sort...

Glass beading used to be popular since it isn't abrasive like sand is.

Worn out glass beads. I have dusty flour-like consistency that works well on light rust. I've been up in West Palm for the past few weeks with my Mom. I took her down to my place for the storm, but I'm back north again.
How much of a hurry are you in? I could stop by and pick them up on my way down, and drop them on the return trip., but it may be a week or more.

Degrease everything then soak it in evapo-rust. It won't remove anything but the rust and all you have to do is let it soak for a day (or a few if it's bad)

Thanks, Donny! I still need to buy the cluster gear for the T90 in order to have all the parts to rebuild my transmission. I don't want to bother you on minor stuff I can solve with evapo-rust as you suggested. I will save that card for times when I really need a hand!:D

Sandblasting using fine glass bead works great, i do this at work on high precision parts and have been doing it for 30 years. At home I generally use this method, it also works great.
