    Cheaper in the long run to buy a new one. Unless you have the correct tools it is a pain in the rear end.

    I kept my original, which was NOT leaking, thinking about the same thing. I did put a new one on while having the engine rebuilt.

    I tried to rebuild a 134 water pump years ago. I broke the impeller in half trying to press it off the shaft. The rebuild kit was only a shaft/bearing/seal assembly, and no impeller available. I just bought a re-manned pump.
