Help With Transmission Identification

    The original owner transplanted this T98 around 1974 according to his son. It is not original to the Jeep.
    I was really just trying to determine if it was a Jeep T98. Turns out, it is a pre 1955 Ford T98. I wish the original owner was still alive.... I would ask him why he used a Ford T98 non syncro when he could have used a T98A Jeep tranny with syncro'd gear set?
    I am assuming (without researching it) that one could have procured this T98 for the swap and during a rebuild etc, added the guts from a T98A so that it would be full sync?

    Obviously I am not going to know anything for sure until I pop the top at min.
