    Ok fellas,
I started with .065 shim pack and tightened it down gently. No end play.
Have y'all seen where you needed more than 1 shim pack to set ?
Or do I have something wonky?

    Thanks.

You may want to review this video, it covers the set-up pretty well...

Hahaha, I've had this video pulled up all day long, following it all the way. Unless I missed something, he doesn't address my problem.
I did go from a single shifter to a dual.
Could that have something to do with it?

I have another bearing cup I'm gonna try tomorrow to see if its machined deeper.

No end play means more shims. I use the old shims with new to get the correct end play. I then try to find the largest shims I have to get the same measurements with the least shims possible.

You actually want some end play, don’t remember what but seems like .001-.002.

.004"-.008" comes to my mind...could be wrong. Try to keep the clearance to low side during setup. Put a THIN coat of sealer between shims to prevent leaking; this adds about .0005" per shim from my experience.

So, having .075-.085 shim pack is acceptable?
That was my reason for asking, I didn't know how many was too many.
I'll have to order another shim pack. Didn't save the old ones.
    Thanks
