What did you use as materials and how did you bend it?

 

It actually came with the car as a 6 point cage which I have chopped most of it away. Saves a lot of weight and not as cluttered.

 

I don't know how far this is from you, but this one should drop right in. Price is a little steep, but it's probably cheaper than having one made.

I'm planning to fabricate a bar like this for my CJ5. I got a similar bar from a friend that came off a Jeepster to use as a starting point. Can someone give me the outside width and height above the fender that's standard? I want to make it so it will fit inside a soft top should I get one someday.

I know, right? To be honest, it is absolutely true. It is so rare to find one that another member from the forum found it at the same time and sent me the link. The jeep is really rough on the body but it starts and runs fine. I will use parts for my cj5 and sell the rest.
