Cj5/6 Windshield Wiper Line

I'm trying to install the vacuum wiper lines correctly on a CJ5/6 and I'm having trouble finding images. I've seen several for the M38A1 but none for the civilian model. I'm pretty certain the line is metal going up the drivers side to short rubber hose to a metal offset "Y" to one wiper and then to a short metal run again. Can someone post pictures of the manual or pics of an original setup for a CJ5/6? I'm also curious how the line ends before it connects to the rubber line from the dash. I don't think there is an air regulator on the civilian model. Does the metal line come out over the bottom part of the windshield or terminate at the bottom of the glass as the M38A1?

My hosing is all rubber hoses. I looked at some Goggle images for civilian cj’s (Mine’s a 1966) and didn’t see any metal tubing. Now you have my curiosity.

 

My 58 has rubber hose and no regulating valve or remains of any holes to attach one. It also has several metal clips the right size for the rubber hose to attach it the windshield frame.

 

My 3b had metal lines, but I can't remember where they began and ended.

 

The Kaiser-era CJs ran a rubber vacuum line through the dash (same hole shown on the M38a1 diagram), only the hose ran directly up to the inner edge of the windshield frame, exactly as the above diagram, to the same metal "Y"fitting, then the each vacuum motor. All the lines are rubber, and a little "extra" line is left slack at the dash to allow the windshield to fold down. The controls to operate the wipers are small slide switches where the lines attach to the motors. The military motors don't have the vacuum switches like the civvy models do. The rubber lines are held to the inner windshield frame by single-sided line clamps.
Good luck depending on having the wipers work effectively unless you are decellerating down a hill!

Can someone confirm that the piping would have been rubber on the civilian from a FSM picture or reference? Also, would the ventilated windshield have been rubber or metal/rubber? Any FSM references would be greatly appreciated.

I'll probably never use my wipers, I just want then to be factory correct.
