After following the thread on the 20T press and seeing the SWAG press brake, I got an itch to make one for the 12 ton press I'm borrowing from my son in law.

I made it with an interchangeable base and "blade"

I used it to bend some pieces for my floor out of 14 ga steel. It worked pretty good, I can see I will be doing some tweaking to the design, but I expected that.

I'll be putting it to work on more pieces as I go along.

Those parts look good. Looks like that will prove to be useful.

Well done! Looks like you've already used yours more than I've used mine. (y)

Looks handy! Don't forget your bend deductions will add up quick.

Yep, I got a little taste of that already, I think 14ga makes that happen quicker. I'm on the learning curve with it. I do a lot of bending with metal siding/ soffit/ facia, but it's much lighter gauge material.

Basically for every 90deg bend it will stretch a material thickness at the brake. If you get stuck with an early cj5 part I can try to draw it formed and flat.

Thank you, that is a very kind offer, I'll keep it in mind. I've used my CAD (cardboard aided design) program a few times with pretty good results.

2 ways to think about measurements for forming in the garage. the inside dimension doesn't change on material with a tight radius(.125") compared to the flat. The outside will gain roughly twice the material thickness per bend. This is figuring for a 90 degree bend.

Made another jig for the press. Used it to bend some pieces for my new seat mount.

Two different "blades" and two sets of adjustable "anvils". Starting to figure out how to get the bends I want. It's not fast, but it works.
