I can't wait to see this one on the road. Similar to the cj66, but better because it's built, and doesn't have silly modern Mopar parts.

if the color match isnt as good as you like,a urethane paint can be applied over just flashed raptor and will chemically bond to the liner viola matched paint. the only color ive had trouble with is white, turns bluish greenish when tinting liner...personally i like spi brand liner.

Lets see if I can remember how to get the pictures up here.....
    Start of rear brake lines
    P1040704.jpgresized.jpg

    Lines out the brakes.
    P1040705.jpgresized.jpg

Fuel lines, filter, regulator, and brake lines headed forward.
    P1090125.jpgresized.jpg

Up the frame rail to the front.
    P1090124.jpgresized.jpg

Start of air line for the ARB locker. Using AN3 braided, plastic coated line for Earls/Holley and hard line instead of the ARB line.
    P1090127.jpgresized.jpg

Going from flex to hard line on the air line.
    P1090131.jpgresized.jpg

And up the frame to near the front shock/spring tower. Planning on putting the compressor on the right front fender.
    P1090132.jpgresized.jpg

Front brake flex line installed. You can see the 2 holes where the original bracket was installed, I learned the hard what that if you get crossed up and turn the wheel the right way you can tear the hard line out of the bracket. So I move them forward up to the tower to keep them out of harms way (Learned this on my LJ up on Ophir Pass)
    P1090128.jpgresized.jpg

Other side, moved forward as well.
    P1090129.jpgresized.jpg

The front brake line and ARB air line installed and tied down. You can see the fitting for ARB lines by the tower on the passenger side, will switch back to braid AN3 line to run to the compressor.

Haven't posted in a while. Got to the point where I was tired messing with coating things and fixing things and just sent it to the paint shop. Now before any notices that things are not smooth like a show car I did not do any body work to make it that way. I am building this thing to drive not show. It is going to get scratched and dinged again. So it was painted as it was. Getting parts back from paint.

Been working on putting this thing together. Not going to say a lot just let the pictures catch up. If you see a picture and have questions just ask I will explain what it is or what I did. 20190709_122056.jpgresized.jpg 20190712_125741.jpgresized.jpg 20190712_125758.jpgresized.jpg 20190714_104711.jpgresized.jpg 20190714_104731.jpgresized.jpg 20190718_111359.jpgresized.jpg 20190718_113033.jpgresized.jpg 20190725_110720.jpgresized.jpg 20190726_154013.jpgresized.jpg 20190725_111139.jpgresized.jpg

Working on wiring the dash and have hit a snag. I am using Painless wiring harness 80s era CJ. I am also using Crown electric replacement wiper motors. It has me baffled on how to wire the motor with the 80s era switch. Nothing came with the motor to show how to wire it. It has 3 screws to attach wires +, -, and S and I have now idea how to translate that to the 80s rotary switch. ANY one done this and have the secret code?

And a few more pictures while I wait and see if anyone has an answer.

Working on dash and AC/heater hoses getting them in place so I can cut to size and install the needed fittings before I get all the wiring connected to the dash as I will have to take if off again to wire then put the finished hoses back on. Also think I have the brakes figured out, new booster installed redid the pedal the new booster has a different stroke. I hope they don't have to come back off again!! Bleed the brakes and no leaks seams to work good.

And yes I did check to see if I could get the fitting back through the grommets after putting them on the hoses.

Sometimes those pedal sets from later Jeeps can restrict the stroke and mechanical travel by coming into contact with the early slanted floor? I've had to cut those down before to about 14" from 16" Looks Good!

I got my wiper question figured out. It is designed to work with a toggle switch, where you put it in between the "-" screw and the "S" Screw. So I am running 12V+ to the motors and 12V- from the 80s CJ switch. By tuning on and off the 12V- it makes the motors run and turn off. Not the way the 80s switch is supposed to be wired put it will work and keep the dash looking clean. I drew it out on paper, I will take a picture and post it. I hooked it up to a power supply and it worked.

Ok here are the pictures of my paper on how I am going to do it (working on dash end, motors will come later when the windshield get installed.
It is kinda doing things backward normally switch the positive side but this works. This is all because I am trying to keep the dash as clean looking as possible.
    20190910_161022.jpgresized.jpg

You might notice above I have also figured out a pin I can use for a window washer if I install one. Run the ground side of the pump from the switch and key on 12+ to the other side of the pump. turn the dash knob all the way right and it should pump water.

    20190910_161039.jpgresized.jpg

this is how the rotary wiper switch for the 80s era wiper is supposed to be hooked up. (stole the pictures off the internet credits to who ever they are)

And on a different note. I installed the right hand finder and grill so I could get the A/C hoses laid out and measured so I could put on the fittings so when the dash wiring is done I can get it all installed and hooked up.
Gives you kind of a sneak peak of how it is going to look.
