How about some baking soda to neutralize dor final rinse? I'm nervous about runnong acid in a radiator, but if its plugged I guess the alternative is to throw it out anyhow.

So long as you're using an acid like sulfamic or oxalic, for a flushing interval (a few hours through a warmed system) it should be fine.
Baking soda is sodium bicarbonate. It's my understanding that soda ash/washing soda (which is sodium carbonate) when flushed through the cooling system, will properly neutralize any acid used to clean/descale/flush a radiator.
It seems that nowadays the labor required to do a rod out on a radiator like the shops used to do is no longer cost-effective. Replacing the radiator seems to be the most cost-effective alternative these days. So i agree...it can't hurt to try the acid flush method. If it doesn't work, throw out the radiator and buy a new one.
