Thanks. It is fun. I'm ready to be done.

Added the rear door and bumperettes this evening.

I plan to remove the tire carrier from the door. Also the taillights will change to flush mount. The rear door will open all the way back. There will be a flip up work surface (28x18) on the inside of the door.

    All I lack is finishing.

My other project that was a big part of my life is my 2004 Subaru Forester xt turbo. I bought the car new in Seattle in 2005 and it was my first new car. I drove that car for about eight or nine years I racked up about 200,000 miles on it. Eventually I burnt an exhaust valve but I had no problems with that car up until that point. Once I realized there was a problem I pulled the motor and sold the short block for 500 bucks. I kept the cylinder Heads and had those redone and bought and installed a new short block.

I added a bunch of STI parts, sti oil pan, turbo, inter cooler. Basically the car is an sti engine at this point. High flow single cat 3” exhaust all new rubber on the engine. I also upgraded the suspension to high performance springs and rear sway bar.

At this point it’s putting down 305 torque and 254 horse at the wheels

She’s a little all wheel drive beast

Exactly so do I. This car is a mega sleeper it’s 0-60 in less than 5 seconds. I’ve upset a lot of Audi owners lol. Buts it’s fun and rugged and with studs in snow dang near unstoppable. Plus you can sleep inside it.:ninja:

Love the orange Nomad - don't think I've seen that color before. Is that the most recent version? Looks like you might have it set-up as a c-1?

Yes good eye I am an open boater but get out c1 too. That nomads actually older @2006 or so. Mostly running local rivers like salmon, lochsa and Selway but been down the Grand Canyon in my oc1 and that was rad.

@FinoCJ, I seem to recall you do some kayaking, and backcountry skiing as well. Have you run the salmon or other ID or MT rivers? I’ll add I swam at lava falls on the Colorado and that was exciting.

I have done a bit up paddling up there - I spend quite a bit of time in the Big Sky area, but mostly in the winters. I have run the Gallatin and the Smith in Montana, as well as Hells Canyon on the Snake and MF Salmon in Idaho. I do a lot of ww paddling in my kayak here in Colo, and take my oar rig out for a few multi day trip each year as well - hopefully to some place in Idaho.
A bit gratuitous but from a local steep creek here in Colo:

I grew up paddling in the southeast - Nantahala area - and was getting into canoeing (both c-1 and OC) my last few years before I left to go west. The c-1 was tough on my knees and ankles but I could roll it pretty well and paddle class III-IV- whereas the OC was comfortable and fun to paddle on class III, but I never got the OC roll in ww - just on on a lake. I am a big telemark skier and always felt there was a 'soul' or spirit to OC that was similar to tele skiing. I am sure you know 'half the paddle - twice the paddler'. I've run the Grand (and lava) twice - I'd be filling my boat with yellow water if I were padding into the v-wave in an OC!

Wife is calling in today to try and get a cancellation permit for Westwater next month - maybe get one more oar rig trip in this fall, otherwise our CO padding season is essentially down to Gore Canyon until it gets too cold.
