Bought some tbi stuff for the 2a. This should be an interesting learning experience if it works.

I welded a few pieces on today, mounted the new aftermarket rear bumper (after some tweaking of course) and I tried to drill the holes for my 4 inch round tail lights and the old corded drill I was using got so hot it began smoking in my hand and bit the dust half way into to drillling the first hole. So I transitioned to fabbing up the front bumper. Really they were previously build, I just shortened them so they didn't stick out so far (in case I want to run a bigger tire one day). Here is the before and after.

It's not much, but this is first time I've touched my Jeep in over two years. I would have gotten to it earlier, but you know. "Have a kid they said, have two they said, it will be fun they said . . . "

I'm about ready to ban you for the finger over the license plate pic.
    :bash:

But you show the plate in the next pic?

    Keep up the good work!

You would never ban me, then you'd have nobody to beat up on. Besides, you cannot make out the entire number on the second picture. Just remember Focker, the restraining order states you cannot come within 100 feet of me, my house, or any of my belongings . . . :p

I'm still going through boxes of various parts trying to piece her back together again. Its kinda starting to look like a Jeep again. I still have one box of parts that is MIA. It's floating around somewhere, I just have to find it.

You have one of those pesky floating boxes as well. I have a bunch of them, they hide in a little dark corner, then when I'm not looking , they move to a spot I have already looked for them in. Hate that. :D

Like little Ralphie with the lug nuts, I watched the oil sender ferrule fly through the air. Bobbled by my sausage link fingers, a solid hour of crawling on the floor I came up with it. Swear i know how Gollum felt getting the precious back. Oil and temp sender 100% now. IMG_20180603_162409_603-1.jpg

Finished the brake lines on my '68 project:

I worried that with the frame flexing, the brake line might wear against the shock mount. I added some protection:

It's easy-to-bend copper nickle brake line.
