I've been trying to fine a couple of gaskets which are proving difficult. The gasket for the dip stick and for the factory gas cap.

If you can't find any a parts store should have some good gasket material. Obviously it would have to be strong enough to withstand the twisting and turning.

They might be available, I just never looked for them myself.

I carefully pulled the dip stick one off before I gave it to the powder coater but I nicked it a tad. I'm sure will still work but would like to eventually find a new one. As for the gas cap, it's shot, in pieces.

Can't you just buy a new gas cap? Or you might find some neoprene sheet and cut a new gasket for your old cap, I found a package of 5 different materials to make gaskets out of at an HWI Hardware store, neoprene, cork, heavy paper, light paper, and rubber. Good Luck

I have a roll of gasket material that I use for these situations. I am no pro, but it works for me when it has to.

I'm going to make the assumption that things like gas caps were assembled with the gasket in place before the tabs were put on.
