    Hello all,

I bought a bikini cover for my jeep and have quickly realized not all roll bars/cages are the same. It does not fit snug and the cloth sags in the middle to where it hits my head. I will post pictures when i can. It also seems as though to make it remotely work i would have to move the rear strap brackets to the outside edge of jeep instead of the rear edge. This would help pull tension away from each side to not create so much sag and help wrap it over the rear hoop and supports.

Anyone have any good pics of their cage with and without a bikini top so i can see how high the bars are over the windshield and if they slop up to the back hoop or remain level etc.

    Make sense?

Id say you definatly have to put the straps where They want to go not where You want them to go. I made mine from scratch though so it probably fits better than most. I still had a problem with mine flapping against my head when the wind hits it at speed so i put two aluminum strips 1" x 3/16" over the driver and passenger seat from windshield to rollbar.

    This.
My bikini top installations usually involve a footman loop somewhere on/around the back corners. Outward tension definitely helps.

Thanks. I am actually considering pulling the bar off and having it extended a few inches so it will be higher. I’m 6’3” so I need room. I just don’t want it to look weird if not supposed to be higher thank windshield.
I don’t think I’ll ever have a full enclosure but who knows.

Judging by your tiny avatar pic, your main hoop looks like it might be further back than typical, which would magnify the problem you're having. Where does the seam in the bikini top fall in relation to the bar?

Maybe moving the main hoop forward a few inches would help?

And does your head rest below the cage when seated? If it is close to being near the height of the cage, raising it could be the best option.

I've always had 1" straps with friction type adjusters to pull the bikini top taught to take out any sag. At speed on the road, the bikini tops will really bow up without a fair amount of tension.
