I tried to install a reman power steering pump only to find the center bolt broken in the shaft. Apparently they don't tap them out during reman. Its going back to flaps tomorrow. After pitching a major fit cause I haven't wrenched in weeks and swearing I was selling out and going jk I had a good belt of Bird Dog blackberry from the hiding spot and regrouped. I managed to finish the fuel line...

Today was a milestone, I finished the conversion re-conversion project. A project of a few hours here, a few hours there I dismantled the propane fuel system and then installed the gas tank, new fuel lines, new fuel pump and a Holley two barrel carb. This afternoon I wrapped it up making the last few connections, putting some gas in the tank and dumping a little bit of gas down the throat of the carb. A few cranks and then...vrooom :bananatool: it caught. When the weather is better I'll do a shake down run and see if the Holley needs any further adjustment. I've been waiting for this for awhile. The propane worked well but wasn't what I really wanted. Still a lot I want to do but I can check this off my list!

In a morning blitz with near 70 temps ! Fiberglassed up the holes in the floor plan from initially going with traditional pedals. Installed an inline filter in the fuel line to finish it, installed the PS pump and pressed the pulley on. Now I can bolt the drivers fender on, finish the brake lines, steering and start wiring. Rolling now!

Didn't require any wrenching, but it's sure nice to have new seat covers and cushions to sit on! Fun project.

Jeep is slowly coming together as money permits. Almost ready for spring.

Seats look great and so does the Jeep! The more I see M38A1's the more I want one for myself.

Dug out the mangled half cab from the snow this morning. After repairing cracks and filling dozens of stoopid holes, patches and hours of hammer and dolly work, I finally have a solid cover on the jeep. I'm glad it only cost me 50 bucks. It's not bolted down or sealed yet (I need to weather seal fab a filler behind the back wheel wells). No more roll bar! PD came by for VIN verification today and just need to pay some money and register....on the road shortly after many years of sitting in the garage. Front springs are the next project.

I've been putting lots of overtime in, so my Saginaw conversion is crawling along. But I am making progress. Today I replaced the brake line that crosses over to the passenger side. Back in December when welding, grinding, cutting, I bumped the original brake line with a cutoff wheel. They don't last long against cutoff wheels, turns out. And I put a new brake light pressure switch in.

I’m liking these cold winter days, good time to dissemble and rework things. Wiring this week.

I'm curious about that conversion. Do you still use the stock steering box? Would you mind posting a picture or two when you have it completed?

I recently relocated my cross member and modified it a bit to work with the T18 I'm putting in. Eliminated the goofy bracket that used to support the transfer case. Mine had been broken for a while.

Wow that looks like a cool build just judging from the front axle and shock setup.

Thanks. If you search for SeaBee M38A1 you'll see a tale of creeping scope... The result of cracking a ring in the original F-Head and wanting to upgrade everything along the way...
