I recently decided that I needed some interior courtesy lights in my '73. I've never had a dome light of any kind and I never saw any 'below dash' plugs where a anything was plugged in previously. So... I went down to O'Reilly and bought two of these led strips for cheap. Wired them right into my headlight switch so that I can turn the knob counter clockwise to switch on the lights. I actually cut some of the end off of each because they were so dang bright (they are made so that you can cut them down). These are RTV mounted way up under the dash so you never have to see the direct light. Works great, lighting is great, easy to install, cheap.

Led stripp light is a very good way to put some light.

Here how i did mine. i did put a stripp over my head and one under the front roll bar for dash illumination. The one in the dash can be dimed using the oem light knob.

Also i did use some white light led stripp that i put inside the speedometer cluster. Work like a charm and it also get dime with the oem light oem knob.

Dang... that's a great idea... circling an LED strip inside the speedo for illumination. LOVE IT!

Yes, but i found that you must just put 1/4" of the circle on the top part, otherwise you will see the lightt if you put some on the bottom part.

i love it, way better illuminaton than oem and nobody can tell i use led :p
