Looking for ideas on what to use . Kelly hardtop almost ready to put on . What would you use to seal / insulate between top and windshield frame , and where it sits on tub ? Thanks!

The camper/topper foam tape you can buy in places like Lowe's, Home Depot, etc. works as good as anything. That's what I use.

Yep, adhesive-backed foam tape. The stuff that came with Meyer cabs was maybe 3/4" wide and 1/4" thick, and fairly stiff. The only possible issue I see - the squishy foam they sell at the big box stores may not stand up well to the bumping and rubbing of installation and removal. Apply the foam to the cab edges wherever there could be an air leak.

I used the same for my Meyer, same for windows in my house. get the top quality the most resistant. it is perfect. Agiant air leak but also noise and direct contact with steel (between 2 parts).

I'm sure it's the wrong stuff but I use rope caulk. I take my top off every summer and the stuff comes off easy.

Meyer supplied rope caulk with the kit. I recall it was used between the windshield frame and the top, and likely other places I can't remember. The foam tape was used between the body and the top, and as a door seal.

Didn't somebody post assembly instructions for the Meyer cabs here? That would show where this material was used.

There is also something like a rope caulk or maybe it is the exact same thing but on mobile home windows they make a 7/8" wide roll of gum tape. It's about 1/16" - 1/8" thick. That would probably work well and it comes in a roll separated by wax paper so it keeps on the shelf for a while.

The Meyers cab instructions called for a 30 ft. role of sealant to be used . I am guessing a role of sealant is probably rope caulk. The only place the foam tape was used was at the doors.
