    The dodge version won't be as friendly of a match as the Chevy version, but I'm sure anything is possible. A "good deal" usually isn't by the time it's all said and done.

    And I don't care for what Novak says about that trans. IMO, a fully synchronized 5spd with somewhat of a granny low in a jeep is worth the effort and expense. I drive my dump truck when I want to feel like I'm driving a dump truck. I have a T-18 in my 3B, and it's basically a 3-spd unless your off-road. It would be a whole different animal with a 5-spd.

    If your serious about it, keep an eye out for a 93/94 Chevy version. They have the lower first gear.

    I already own the dodge version it was too good of a deal to pass up, low miles won't need a rebuild and should mate up to a Dana 300

    Do I remember something about the shaft sticking out a hair too far to bolt up to a 300? I remember some combo having to trim a little bit off the output shaft so it doesn't bottom out. I might be making that up.

    If there's any issue with the D300 and input/output length you can add in a clocking ring to take up some of that space.

    The late nv4500 has a more beefy tail housing and it makes contact with the bearing retainer on the 300 so a ring or spacer is needed .... My nv4500 is from a 94-95 gas engine truck so it should fit but I have not confirmed this yet

    As it turns out the input shaft of the dodge trans is going to have to be swapped out for a Chevy version, and then I will be able to use a late model stock nv4500 Bellhousing and clutch that was found in like late 90s through late 00s Chevy 2500 gas engine trucks. Which will be nice to have all factory type parts
