Factory routing doesn't go to the frame so you can route it however you want.

The stock plastic fuel line exits the body through the hole yours is routed through. Then goes underneath. I don't remember where from there on the V-6 Jeeps.

If you don't have a generator, you are not going to be able to push start it if the battery is dead.

sorry guys. all the stuff was removed. I understand what is being posted but cant see it. I think I found the old path. pics would be great. I got the pump installed today. They really made it fun. mig tack welds for the plate covering the pump. cleaned that up and chased threads. I guessed the pump goes upside down?

If you match up the shape of the fuel pump housing and the shape of the hole in the timing chain cover, there is only 1 way it would go on.
From what you wrote it sounds like you still have the heat shield. Many of them seem to have disapeared over the years.

There's dead, & then there's DEAD. I've seen plenty of examples where a battery didn't have enough charge to run the starter but still had enough juice for the ignition to work.

YMMV (especially if you're pushing). :)

Can someone post a couple pictures of the correct fuel line routing and attaching hardware from the tank to the fuel pump. I have the kit from Walcks but have no idea how it's attached or suppose to be run.

For the 225 V6...Factory routing? Who knows, it's an old Jeep with previous owners.

From the tank outlets, to short rubber hose adapters, to the lines running to the front fire wall.

Lines pass through metal loops under the Jeep. Here's the rear loop, notice the tank in the background for location reference.

    Next loop near transfer case.

Lines run over the transmission. You have to look hard to notice both lines.

The lines will switch to rubber hose adapters then to the hard lines to the pump. The hard lines have 2 mounting clips attaching them to the motor.

This is a link to Tank to Fuel pump routing used on M38A1, which is the way i use my jeep for more then 30 years (see bottom of page).
    M38A1 Group 3 - Fuel Systems
I belive they had good reasons to take the line from the left side (where the fuel tank) across to the right rail frame and then to the front.
If you want that routing and have questions about it - please ask.

No military routing for me. I'd like the civilian factory routing. I know there are a few clips, but I don't know where they attach or what they look like.
