Another fire jeep build

For the past few months, I've been kicking around the idea of turning the red jeep into a chief's car. I was getting pretty bored with it just being a run of the mill jeep. Today I was at a swap meet and picked up this siren for $180 and the light and siren both worked! They usually go for $400-500.

 

Wish you could mount it without drilling any holes.

 

Yeah I know, but I installed the footman loops for the top and hood blocks afterwards. Still, drilling in nice paint isn't fun!

 

I have a Barton front mount pump if you want to really assemble a replica fire jeep

Nice. Good price. I sold a set of those at a swap meet for $950.

 

I got it mounted and wired up today.

 

Cool, I'm trying to remeber about the old sirens. is that an electro motive?

 

No, and it is not a Federal either. I'll have to see who the manufacturer is.

 

Got a few more goodies added today. A spot light and a water can. There's still more to come!

I haven't had time to work on it. Been working on the other fire jeep. Should be able to though today.

 

Got a few more goodies for it. Another larger fire extinguisher, same brand as the other one, and I got the first aid kit painted. I have to make a mount for the fire extinguisher.

 

Got the lettering all done today. That really made the jeep!







And now I have to bolt down all the stuff in the back. I had to move the little fire extinguisher from the driver's rear wheel well to between the seats.
