The next time you get a ding or dent it isn't so painful, you already have one. Sort of like getting the first blemish on a new truck, Meh, just drive it now. A friend was doing a new deck on his house. He "railoaded" two boards, as in the end of both boards ended next to each other "yeah, I did it on purpose, You can't have everything perfect".

Yep, spent many hours reinforcing the 3B hood, getting the "Oil cans" taken care of, bent front, rust and then the skim coat and paint. Oh looky a ding. In the grander scheme of life, It doesn't bother me that much. I worry more about my windshield. A few more places need a bit of welding.

My windshield is solid, so I am good there.

Next is to get it clear coated and the body on so I can get the geometry of the new steering column and box set up.

Got the clear coat on today and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I may have to redo a fender. I will be polishing it out.

    Thanks,

The plan for today and tomorrow are to get the fuel tank in and the body mounted. Cut out for the fuel filler and get the new tail lights mounted.

Get the new bolts for the body, get the fuel filler and tail lights mounted tomorrow. Then it is ready to tackle the steering.

Ran into a problem with mounting the body. On my new rear cross member, I measured the holes wrong.

So had to lift the body again and drill the holes in the correct place and got the body all squared up on the frame.

Got the tub secured and installed my tail lights and back up lights. Also, had my headers machined to square the face.

Waiting on a guy to get back from vacation so we can mount the power steering box, new front shock mounts and re-gear the rear end.
