Guess, I'm the first to say that I love my "Painless wiring harness". Easy install, great instructions and a couple of different models for CJ5s. Mine had everything set for even my Warn Winch and my ARB air compressor. The wire was very good quality, gage of wire, good too. Don't go cheap with something like this!!!

Ez wire is the same gage and quality of wire as painless, just a lot cheaper.
I will admit connectors on painless are more accurate but for more than twice then price of ez I will stick with ez wire over the others.

Installed a Painless 12 circuit in my 2A in 2002.
    13 years later, not a single issue/problem.
    Would buy again.

Let's just say that electrical is my bread and butter tell my injury. Both for the Goverment And a big company that starts B. The purity of the copper wire, insulation, and the connectors them selfs are better. You get what you pay for!

I went with an ez wire off of eBay. It was actually less on eBay than directly from ez wire

Doing it myself, one wire and connector at a time.

Wiring is the next big improvement I need to do. I have the in dash ignition switch but swapped in a GM steering column and capped off the ignition switch (where key goes in) on the column. Prior to taking out the old column we used an OHM meter to identify all wires. Prior to installing the GM column we used an OHM meter to identify signal wires. When it came time to mate corresponding wires they didn't match up correctly. I ended up just connecting wires by trial and error to get all connected correctly.
Looking at the Speedway instructions from a link above I see instructions for connecting their harness to Ford, GM and Mopar column mounted ignition switch applications. How will I attach the new harness if my ignition switch is in the dash and the turn signals are still on the column and my high beam switch is still on the floor?

I watched ebay and picked up a hot rod harness for less than $100. It has 12 circuits and I believe was made be ez wire. Has fuse panel, relays, etc. Not installed it yet but it looks like it is good quality. Nice, heavy wire and well labeled. I figured I could not buy all that colored wire for that money.

Looking to drop my 4.3L in with all new wire, but does anyone have a wiring diagram on a 66' CJ5? Could really use the help.
