Overdrive woes

Last night, I replaced the worn out planetary assembly in my Warn OD
I also replaced the rear housing, going from a front shift to a rear shift housing in preparation for my upcoming T18 swap. I used the existing mainshaft & synchro assembly and put it in the new housing.
Well, when I put it all back in the Jeep, it won't shift into direct at all, and it'll barely shift into overdrive...it pops out of OD under deceleration. Any ideas what I did wrong?

 

What oil are you using? I had the same thing happen with synthetic oil. synchros were too slippery. I used GL-4 to resolve the problem.

The only manual I have is a Saturn one...the Warn one is better.

Was your depth mic measurement what it should be...as far as the planitary stick out? Also, if you read my thread... I had all kinds of problems getting mine to shift becaus of the way my bolts were torqued when I mounted the thing. Od can be a major pain to trouble shoot when they aren't working right.

Not yet....full time job, girlfriend, and son are eating into my garage time LOL!

Finally, success!
When I assembled this thing, I installed a simple little roll pin incorrectly, preventing the shift fork from moving like it should.
Now, my mish-mash of 2 different Warn OD units, plus a brand new Saturn planetary hub, works flawlessly!
