Looks good. From the pics, looks like the longer front shackles really helped w/ the raked look.

Are you happy w/ the new ride height and ride quality?

Ride height is great. Ride quality not so much. It's pretty stiff. But, there is absolutely no weight in the back right now.

Not sure any amount of weight could calm those springs down.......some weight will help but only marginally ........I tried allot of different things years back without much success. Springs are to short, with to many leaves...........

Yeah, I know. Hey, they have half the leaves that the stock ones did..;) It's not a huge deal. If I want cush I'll drive the TJ. Or my 3/4 ton truck.

Windshield wipers installed today. These motors do have a park feature, but they park on the wrong side, so I wired each motor with it's own switch on the dash so I can park each one one the right side with the switch. I ran the wires up to the frame where the original vacuum line was.. Thanks to Nate (garage gnome) for the motors!

Stupid question but, they aren't upside down, are they? Seems like they are awful low in the windshield glass.

They won't clear the outer frame if I turn them over, and even if I space them in so they will, the venting windshield wouldn't open.

Since I put the springs on, I thought it needed taller (and skinnier) tires. I found a set of 16" wheels from a Gladiator, stripped them down and painted them the same color as the 15's. Ordered a set of Dynapro MT in 215/85R16, which measures 30" tall and 8" wide, which is about 1 1/2" taller and 3/4" narrower than the 235/75R15's. I really think this looks good..:)

I did add 1.5" wheel spacers (because I had them) since the Gladiator wheels have 4 1/2" back space compared to the 3 5/8" back space that the factory 16's would have had. I'll probably order some 1" spacers because I think they stick out just a bit too far.

I like the look - nice looking tires too. Brings back memories from when I was a kid and 'Sherman' looked like that (Dad's '48 I learned on).

The tire size looks perfect for the stance of your flattie. Excellent choice!

I took the home made tire carrier

And added another horizontal piece on top

Put a new bracket for the wheel on it, to the right side, and a can rack on the left. I also added some braces on the hinge side.

I also replaced the 1 1/2" wheel spacers with 1" spacers, and got rid of the goofy looking center caps on the rear.

I think it's safe to say both of the Jeeps are immaculate. Curious, how much fuel does an old 2A hold?
