A question came up on the forward control forum, www.members4.boardhost.com/jeep/fc, on how to mount an alternator on an F-134 motor. The PO of my 57FC mounted an alternator on this jeep and did a real good job of it. I did not realize how good a job until I studied the photos. I thought others may find the photos helpful. Here are the pictures:

What size bolt is used to mount the bracket to engine mount? Did you use the original generator mounting bushing to take up the slack for the larger mounting bolt? And did you have to put a 90 degree fitting on the oil filter return hose? Because I ordered the same brackets from Willys Jeep Parts so I can mount a 78 Amp three wire alternator I have.

Lol, that is bringing one back.

I have my alternator bolted right into the original generator bracket - it has been that way for years. It works just fine.

I do like the looks of McGruff's. That guy just seems to build nothing but quality.
