F head miss under load

    If this was a timing issue would you say that it's to far advanced or restarted?

    Generally higher rpms need more advance. Therefore timing would be too retarded if the miss develops at higher speeds.

    Im having this similar issue I'll advance the timing and report back. I know I need to have the tank boiled out but want to see if this will correct the cut out at higher RPM's under a load.

    I have been out of town, so I haven't had time to mess with it. I did pull the tank a few weeks ago and it was a mess. I will get back to ya all when I can mess with it again.

    I had the same problem and on my Jeep it turned out being the black wire on the points was not making a good connection.
