    Hi!
Long time ago i was thinking about a lift.
After the new tires, the lift was mantatory since the front tires were rubing everywhere.

After market springs for an old jeep like m series here in Greece....., you just can't find.
And i didn't want it because all the shackle hangers where worn out to 0 shape.
So i decide to start from scratch and install yj stock springs. Home made hangers
and give about 2.5 lift from the hangers and as much as the spring give.
so i fabricared all the hangers for the wider springs

    front fixed hangers

    rear fixed hangers

I'm almost done the front end continue tomorrow.
Any opinions is accepted or questions because i can't describe everything i'm thinking about for it.
    More pictures will come.

Looks good. I would weld them on once you are happy with them.

I don't want to weld them, it's almost bolt on. I hope that tomorrow i'll finish the front and rear.
Untill now i'm satisfied how it went.
I'll need new shocks, shock mounts, brake hoses.
But i wan't to see the travel first and then order.
As it is now i'll get about 4'' of lift.

I want to see them on the jeep. I'm working on some new spring hangers on the front of my CJ and I really like the way yours look.

But I do think I'd weld them on. Any reason to not weld?

If there is no major reason i want weld unless i have some kind of problem.
I prefer to unbolt them and work on the bench in case i want to rework on them.
A few more photos of the front fixed hangers and spring plates

    some pictures of the hangers

    this is before and after

i have to order new shocks both front and rear

and some tests with the socks limitng the travel

the final impression is that the springs are way to soft than the stock,
that i had to adjust the socks as firm as it gets so i doesn't lean to much while cornering
anyway everything worked perfect the tires are not rubbing anywhere and i'm so happy with this mod
Also if someone is interested i can send a pdf file with the drawings and dimensions.

Thanks bkd. I used that kind of ubolt for more ground clearance,
when i order the new shocks i'll move the lower mount on the axle
and i'll use a part of the lower spring plate just to protect the square bolts that i'll use
and keep them in place, for even better clearance.

Here is a pdf with dimensions in millimeters from the hangers
the drawing is 1/1 in case you want to measure something else

Is that all thread that you have used for U-Bolts?.............If so they may not be strong enough.

    Fivos...........I'm glad you changed those............
One last thing I noticed and not trying to be picky..........cause I do enjoy your build from the other side of the globe was the 1/4 x 2 flat bar (or sized close to that) you used for your shackles.......at that extra length and that material being a little thin.........maybe a piece of square tube welded between the two might keep them from bending or laying over?

Did you have to change spring perches on the axle tube for the wider yj springs?
