Getting ready to make some custom height body mounts. What are the cool kids using for material these days? I've looked at the boat rollers but I was trying to avoid the ones that have the inner PVC sleeve. I am trying to move away from the controversial hockey puck method. Anybody have a link to actual body mount material?

Used boat rollers made of hard rubber, no PVC. Cut them on the metal chop saw.

Summit Racing has nylon spacers, 1-3" in two or three different widths that have a 1/2" hole in them. I'm using 1" ones on my steel bodied YJ and they work great.

I'd use the rubber roll for fiberglass. I've found that cutting them with a tree saw in a mitre box works really good if you don't have access to a chop saw. The tree saw is much faster cutting through that material than a hack saw.

I know the roll is rubber but some of the boat trailer ones have a PVC inner sleeve. I am concerned that the PVC will carry too much vibration into the tub. I am all for the rubber roll, I just can't seem to find one that has a 1/2 inch ID without the sleeve. I guess 2.5" OD is going to have to do. I am using a steel tub but with a custom floor thus the custom mount height.

Restoration Specialties shows some body mounts - http://www.restorationspecialties.com - p. 109 of the catalog.

If one of those looks right, you could order a sample, or ask them to send you measurements.

Another possibility is to buy rubber from McMaster-Carr. http://www.mcmaster.com/#standard-rubber-sheets/=nysxyr

Rubber sheet will be a uniform height, and you can pick the strength of the material and the durometer rating (softness). I expect you could cut it with a hole saw, if it has to be round ... otherwise make square pucks.
