1971 V6 Stock Radiator Hoses

    ^The above 2 numbers should be correct. The lower hose is a 7196.

    In Gates, the lower hose is a 20355, the bypass is a 20521, and the upper is a 21660 (these are on my '70).

    Just rebuilt the motor in my '71 V6.

    Had a heck of a time finding the lower radiator hose, but I finally did!

    The top hose number is Gates #20521, and the lower hose is also Gates #22553. They fit perfectly!

    I installed the Gates 21660 (upper), Gates 20355 (lower), and Gates 20521 (bypass) on my 1971 V6. I had to trim about 1.5 inches off of the radiator end of both the upper and lower hoses, but after the trimming they fit perfect. See Photos:


    Gates 21660 (upper) trimmed approx. 1.5 inches of radiator end

    Fit perfectly...WAY better than the one I had with kinks in it.

    I replaced mine, I was not happy with the fit, so I cut it in half an used a piece of plastic they sell for a insert piece gave it a small twist, an it fit great!. It worked great. Everything came from O Reillys...good place.
