It could be purchased over the counter thru the parts department.
It should never be the lone determining factor.

Seems strange that there is no frame horn boxing yet it has several of the other HD frame components.
Can you determine the frames gauge (thickness) at that location ?

Never heard of the D-225 skid plate being available from the Jeep parts counter.
Just goes to show .. Whenever I use the words "I THINK", that actually means "BEWARE" :)

Can you get me measurements on the four smaller holes in the front gusset. Spacing between the holes and how far back from the front end of the frame. Thanks.

without being able to measure it i would guess 1/8th inch from what i remember, where those two things the frame stiffeners you were talking about?

I have all the frame stiffeners shown, except for the rear hangers...nothing there.

Was just curious if perhaps the gauge of your jeeps frame channel was increased.

None of the CJ frames including the HD CJ-5 feature any form of stiffner above the rear shackle brackets.

I interpreted the picture of the front hanger as being a photo of a rear hanger.

I am trying to restore the stock oil pressure gauge on my Ren. I. The PO had installed an aftermarket gauge set under the dash that used a mechanical sender rather than an electrical one. My gauge looks just like the one in this string.

My question -- Can I use a modern Stewart Warner oil pressure sender (e.g., a SW 279D) that is designed for a modern 0-60 psi gauge for this application?

I think the modern ohm range is 33-240 ohms. Just not sure if they used this range back in 1970. Thanks for any help...:v6:
