I have been helping this older gent restore his 1948 CJ2A.
But something does not look right about it.
    Here are a couple pictures.

I appears to be a lefty, meaning the spare tire is on the left side. Is the spare tire brace on that side or on the passenger?

boy thats a leaner. I would pull a leaf from the passenger side since it looks too high anyway then if its still crookid maybe put it in the driver side or take another from the passenger side. thats just me though. you should probrobly rack up some miles first and see if it levels out

Lefty, as Nate stated, refers to the placement of the spare on the left rear of the body vs. the much more common right side position.

Or maybe swap the entire spring packs from the left side to the right side....

One of the seats is different..either the back is too high on the passengers seat or too low on the drivers seat....has the drivers side wheel house been cut back?

Other wise it looks pretty nice, tires appear too small and that throws off the whole jeep "look"..

Put a lowering block on it, or chase the lean forever....

I don't think it leans all that much. It looks like it has new springs. A picture from straight on the back or front would be helpful. Looking at the windshield to the house window, it looks fine in the last pic.

It looks like the passenger seat is from a 3A, so it doesn't fit the contour of the wheel well and sits up higher.

The lean is only about 1/2",witch I think is good with all the weight on the drivers side.
It has new springs all around.
The tires a re factory size 6.00 16 firestones.
The front seats are after market frames, both are made for a 2A, I had a 3A seat frame and it was completely differant, no notch in the wheel house.

I looked up lefty, it seems that thay built about 10000 that way.

If those are aftermarket seats, then that's the problem. The reproductions don't fit the original tub.

If it were mine the only thing I would change is the mileage. ;)

Yep, besides the height difference in the seats. Stuff like that really annoys me.

Andrew, PM me the info, VIN, body tag #, ACM # and if you know what the original color was on this jeep (and a few pictures) and I can have it added to the lefty database on the 2A page.

The hood blocks that the windshield rests on look to be about twice as tall as the originals. Is there something on the front of the windshield frame (like an incorrect wiper arm) that requires the tall blocks? If not, PM me if you are interested in correct reproduction hood blocks.
