1967 with V6, floor is shot, and the body is full of patches, runs, drives, stops, has a title. My guess it's been used as a hunting jeep in the mountains for the last 20+ years. I couldn't get a price from the guy, so I said over or under 500, he said over. Located in southern PA.

Depending on how bad the body really is, but a running, driveable Jeep would be worth at least 500 around here.

I see a lot of value there. Tubs are easy to come by, either reproduction or fiberglass or salvaged from the southwest. My body is full of patches too, but they are welded solid and covered with bondo and paint. Is it titled and if not how hard is that to get in PA?

All the pics are exterior. What matters is what's underneath. Is the frame solid, transmission good, etc?

Title=good thing. Hard top may be of value if it's in good shape. Running V6. I'd say 6, 7, 800. 1000 if it's inspectable, meaning, it doesn't need much, mechanically for inspection and the body will pass. But, that's really pushing it. I'll sell ya my tub as soon as I find a flatty I can afford to get back to PA. ;)

I can only assume the trans is good. The seller says it drives. The floor is worse than Swiss cheese. The carpet you see in the pics is the only thing keeping it from being a Fred Flintstone special. Definitely will not pass inspection. frame seems ok, there was a lot of mud, so I couldn't really get a good look.

I would not be so keen on a Jeep without a solid body. Spend a little more and get one that's in better shape. Consider that repop tubs cost thousands of dollars - getting a solid tub for even $1000 more is a bargain.

What Tim said. Find one someone else has eaten it on. While I admire people who weld in all the replacement panels and hat sections, economically, it is ALWAYS a loosing proposition-even if you do the work for nothing (read-enjoyment and you are somewhat pervertedR)).

I too think timgr speaks good sense.

I wouldn't pass up a solid running chassis with all good mechanicals, if the price was right. But that would be more for a "body optional" off-highway rig.

In the southern PA area, I can't see that Jeep bringing much more than $500. ATVs are now much more popular than old jeeps as hunting vehicles and old Jeep prices have fallen.

"and old Jeep prices have fallen."

So true. Back in the sixties any crappy jeep that would roll was worth "a hundred dollars a wheel" absolute minimum, and that is when a new Mustang was $2000. But that's also when four wheel drive was Jeep or nothing.

What kills me is how much people will pay for an ATV, when they could get a really nice (and roadable) Jeep for less.
