Anyone know of a smaller in diameter wheel for a stock column? This is for a 65. Just looking for a little bit more clearance between bottom of wheel and stomach.

Already lowered and moved seat back. Any ideas? Thanks

I'm using a 15" Grant wheel with Ross steering. It's not too bad on the trails with 33's. I wouldn't go any smaller than that though. I'll see if I can't find a model #.

    Edit: I was wrong, it's 14 3/4". http://www.grantproducts.com/products/view/83/ . I found it on Amazon for $40 I think.

I wouldn't shrink the wheel. I enjoy mine where it sits, enough room to get the wheel moving.

Recommend power steering and a smaller wheel if you're still to close.

Yup, if you want a smaller wheel power steering is a good thing. I ran manual Saginaw steering for years with a smaller wheel. Arms got a serious workout. Power made things much more enjoyable.....

12" Grant. Drops it below the windshield and plenty of belly room. I had to lower my column for the headers and the 15" made it hard to get in and out of the seats. Really nice to drive. I have power steering though.

Thanks guys. This jeep is my dads driver and it doesn't see any real off road. Tires are 30" tall. Just looking for a little more clearance.

Did the same thing and never put a stabilizer on it. You absolutely do not want your thumbs/fingers indside the wheel when in the rocks with that arrangement.

How does the stock turn signals cancel with the smaller wheel? Does the turn signal wheel still touch the new wheel? I was looking at this same wheel and I have PS.

Might want to check your state laws. Some states like Texas have a minimum diameter.

They don't. You need to manually cancel them.

Manually canceling is easy. Just make it a habit.

If you're talking Grant wheels they do cancel. The roller on the Spartan turn signal rides on the Grant adapter.

Yes, I was looking at a grant wheel. Thought I was going to have to make an adapter to cancel them. Thanks.

It might just be "my perspective" but I know my stomach makes my steering wheel seem too big, too.bunny with a pancake
