Phoenix Graphics

    Anybody ever use their decal kits. Thinking of using an 80's era sticker kit on a CJ7/YJ I'm working on.

    Concerned over their quality, and how they fit the contours of the hood. Hopefully the decal is formed for the shape of the hood.

    Any insight?

    It won't be a decal. The graphics are adhesive-backed vinyl stickers, not decals.

    I have a set of their Renegade II vinal stickers on mine. They were not an exact fit and had to trim mine. If you do order a set, best to do it in the shade, and use their application gel. Expect a few bubbles that should eventually go away after exposure to the sun.

    I get stickers when i go to the dentist and have no cavities. Decals just sounds more growed up......

    Where I come from, a sticker is, well, sticky on the back, peel and stick, and a decal is a water slide application (get it wet, slide it off of the backing paper onto your subject)

    From Webster's:

    Decal: a picture, design, or label made to be transferred (as to glass) from specially prepared paper

    Applique: a cutout decoration fastened to a larger piece of material

    Sticker: a slip of paper with adhesive back that can be fastened to a surface

    Graphic: of, relating to, or involving such reproductive methods as those of engraving, etching, lithography, photography, serigraphy, and woodcut

    Take your pick.

    My Renegade and Levis decals are from Phoenix Graphics. They look totally OEM and really add a nice touch!
