I have a Clifford on my '55. If I remember right, it is easier to install if you take the fuel pump off, but can be snaked in without doing that. I don't remember having to reroute anything or doing any mods. I would recommend spending the extra to get the ceramic coating on it to cut down on heat. I did have to work on one bolt hole to make it fit, it was about 3/16ths off center.

My question, Is it worth the cost of the header. Did it give the f head any more get up and go?

I couldn’t tell you other than the seat of my pants feel. And my seat is pretty wore out. I don’t think I got much out of it horsepower wise. One of these days I will get a Weber carb on it, and figure if you make it breath better, you should make it exhaust better. It wasn’t at the top of my list for engine upgrades, but was at the top of my ‘want it anyway’ list. On a quiet mountain top, I can even hear the rumble. Sort of. So it was worth it, to me.
IMHO, if your looking for horsepower and engine performance, look other places first. If your looking for headers, get the Cliffords.

I have often wondered if it made the difference Clifford claimed .....I would like to have one but just can't justify the 300+ dollars right now.
