Has anyone else installed this product and had an issue with the seals?

    Thank you!

I'll be more specific....I'm on my second set of seals in about 1 year. Install, wait six months or so, leak out of real wheel drum...repeat. The seals they send with the kit are very thin, kind of like a ribbon. The ones that came off the axle were much thicker, however I called Moser today and they said they put seals from the Napa down the street in their kits and that they are OEM......hmmm.. So, either I am thinking the OEM replacements they are putting in the kit are not good enough (seen that movie before) and another brand will fix the issue....or there is a problem with the axle/installation.

They seem to be stable....when the vehicle is on the rack there is no play on either side and I did not feel any wobbling while driving.

The problem was the LOW QUALITY seals that Moser uses in their kits. Talking to their tech guys they just buy the cheap ones from NAPA and throw them in the kit. I upgraded to Timken seals that seem to be significantly better engineered. I'll post pics of the difference later this weekend so you all can see what I am talking about. We'll see how it holds, but I am optimistic.

    Moral of the story..

    Moser 1 piece axles...GREAT!
Moser 1 piece axle kit....mmmm, not so much. :)

As promised....here is a visual of what was the issue with the axle seals. The seal on the left is the one that comes in the Moser kit....the seal on the right is the one from Timken. You can see the Timken seal is much more stout and hopefull will not lead to the same issues....Thanks for looking!
