Please help me identify this Jeep. I would like to list it for sale but I do not know much about it. I figured the “research” forum was the place to ask. Hoping for help with simple things like the variety and a price point. Thanks in advance

Looks like a pre 64 CJ6 with no vin tag .

For exact age you might take a photo of the instrument cluster and provide the vin number on the associated paperwork.

Thank you. Any ideas of a fair asking price?

Another shot of the interior to help identify

Pretty hard to offer any help on pricing of pictures. A lot of factors determine value, which only a few are: body and frame condition (what's covered over with paint), running vs. non-running, working brakes, title vs. no title. Everything working as it should--lights, gauges, 4wd, etc. all add to arriving at a fair price.

Looks to be in pretty good condition, relative to many others. The power-take-off winch is worth maybe $600 to $800 to people who like them.

The serial number is on the passenger side of the frame . By the motor . Again pricing is hard . Rust , engine condition , trans and transmission condition . I would say dont look for over $1500 around my way .

As has been mentioned above...some key questions that maybe would help with price estimate:
    1) running/non-running (engine brakes transmission functioning)?
    2) title/no title?
    3) has full doors, but no top?

I kind of get the feeling that its in good shape body/rust etc, but probably isn't driveable down the the street? No top, but maybe you have a clear title? CJ6s come with a small premium I think, but seems hard to pay $2500 for a non-driving jeep (even for a 6)? If its running and driving, then that probably gets it up to about 5k? Obviously I have made quite a few assumptions, but they are ballparks number that others can agree or disagree with to get the discussion started.

It does have the unusual and rare brake drum spare tire mount...

Does it have the rest of the metal top?
