Okay so I came up on a really good deal on a Ford 8.8 with a limited-slip diff. And was thinking about putting that in since my narrow track Dana 44 was seized up and $100 for that complete8.8 axle is significantly less then rebuilding the Dana 44. The track difference between the back and front seems too vast to be safe on the road. (about 15")So I got lucky again and came across a Dana 44 front axle complete Wheels tires strings looks like it has some steering components or something sway bars I don't know to be honest but I'm curious what kind of work I will have to do to switch the front axles out so my Jeepster doesn't have a stance like a cheese wedge Dana 44 is coming off a 1976 Chevy K10. Originally the 8.8 was just going to be a temporary fix till I could rebuild the original Dana 44 no. But if it is going to be unsafe I'd rather not put it in or switch the front out as well because when it's on the road it will be a daily driver and caring Precious Cargo like my two boys. Thanks for any input I searched through the search bar already and then seem to come up with anything that answered my questions.

Can you rebuild the rear into a full float 44 with the front axle components? Keeping ring and pinion from the original. I have a 99 ranger 8.8 in the pile but it is too much mess for me to consider with changes to brakes, gears, drive shaft, and spring hanger changes

I have no idea I've never taken on a project like this the first Jeep I had with a YJ so everything I bought for it was pretty much just both on stuff never had to fabricate anything for the vehicle other than bed racks and bumpers
